I'm so glad you found your way here.
Daarapari is my family home on our ancestral land in Hee Bermiok, a small village in West Sikkim.
Life here has always followed its own pace. The seasons decide what grows in the fields, what ends up on our table, and how the days unfold. We grow our food, work on the farm, and neighbours still stop by just to sit for a while and catch up.
Nothing here rushes you.
Whether you're here to rest, create, work remotely, or simply disappear into nature for a little while, I hope you'll stay a little longer and make yourself at home.

Stay with us in our family home,
or enjoy more solitude in the mud house.
LIFE HERE
We usually wake up, look outside, and let the day decide.
It might be a morning in the fields, a swim in Kalez Khola, or an evening drive to watch Kanchenjunga catch the last light. Sometimes we stay till the moon rises.
And sometimes we take an unknown left, simply because we've never been down that road before.
And every now and then, we do absolutely nothing at all. Just a cup of tea, and the rain slowly moving from one hill to the next.
OUR STORY
Sometimes I wonder if I really started Daarapari at all. The house beyond the hill has always welcomed people. I'm simply continuing the story.

“Every meal felt like home. Every conversation felt like family. Leaving was the hardest part.”

"I could spend days writing, having chai and just staring at the view that keeps changing every five minutes."
